With the paucity of news from Glenview, no wonder we're reduced to dragging up old numbers. One area I'd like to see Gannon to immediately address is the nomination of a new slate of Board of Directors. Certainly, LGE has paid for the right to pack the Zenith Board with LGE allies, however, the Board remains weak. Zenith's current Board of Directors: T. Kimball Brooker, President, Barbara Oil Co. Eugene B. Connolly, Chairman Emeritus, USG Corporation Robert A. Helman, Partner, Mayer, Brown & Platt Andrew McNally IV, Chairman and CEO, Rand McNally & Company Peter S. Willmott Retired President and CEO, Zenith Electronics Corporation KS Cho, Managing Director, LG Electronics Inc. John Koo, Vice Chairman, Zenith; President and CEO, LG Electronics S.P. Koo, Executive Vice President, LG Electronics HJ Lee, Chairman, Zenith; Chairman, LG Academy Yong Nam, Executive Vice President and President, Multimedia TV Division, LGE Nam K. Woo, President, North American Operations, LGE None of the five non-LG Board Members has a technical background in Zenith's key business sectors. We have a group of executives with backgrounds in oil (Brooker), building products (Connolly), attorney (Helman), maps (McNally), and, of course, good old Pete Willmott with Fedex and household furnishings expertise. These five need to go. Got a few recommendations in mind. Curious to see whom others suggest as nominees...

Unfortunately, my news is not note worthy. I can only comment what I see at stores, being in a repair business with alot of associates. My stuff is just opinions. I like facts. That is why I read this thread. I started hearing about DVD, DVD+, HDTV Vchip etc. It seem like this sight goes to extreems ie talking nano seconds, formats and crap like that. I want to know what ZE is doing to turn around. Sofar 2 Ge guys came. I like to see a plan. Where are the earnings? Where is the PR? I think in the last 2 months this site goes in cycles They talk about the technical then the short guy then the technical. When I have something I think would benefit I will start talking. good luck to everyone :o)
