Insider selling reported to SEC last week shows 44,983 shares sold by Chairman, 2 VPs & 1 Director for $1,168,283 at avg price of $25.97 during 2/2 to 2/17/98. Insiders selling into a downtrend is a sure sign of bad times ahead. Kip

"DLT fizzled out" .... "a DLT inventory problem"

Where did these ideas come from?

Demand for DLT is very high and the only "problems" I've heard were that QNTM was having trouble meeting demand and the product transition to the DLT 7000 might cause lags in new purchases.

Amazed at the opposite view you have of the company's DLT line.

What I recall from Lehman is the hold at 18 and the buy above 40. I did the opposite on both and have made decent money. I am a buyer on weakness from these levels. Sold half of my position at 26 in my tax deferred account and intend to buy more on weakness here. I think Lehman has been wrong on their timing as it relates to QNTM.

Z,
Where do you hear about DLT inventory problems? "Flat to down single digits" compared to what? Compared to last quarter (i.e., $339 million sales)?
