FWIW I didn't mention in my last post how much I like the charts from the old infoseek quotes page. I don't recall seeing charts(any where else) that included open,close,high,low,volume,50dma and 200dma all on the same chart. I wonder if anyone still uses this area. I hope they don't discontinue it.

I made reference to being able to buy eyeballs by placing buying space on other pages. It is not only important to have content to keep people at your page but to make your page important enough to bookmark so that users can access your site directly. If all visitors were referred by other sites, it would be difficult to make any money (kinda like a chain letter). The more eyeballs you want, the more you have to pay to get them. I don't recall seeing anything encouraging users to set pages as the default page (on infoseek or anywhere else). It has been discussed here how msft and nscp have an advantage for attracting eyeballs because alot of people don't know how (or even that they can) change the start page. I wonder if there are clauses in the agreements that the search engines/media conglomerates have with msft and/or nscp that prevent them from encouraging this. (if they want their link on nscp homepage they may have to agree not to encourage people to change the start page).
