I must say that I am extremely impressed with the quality of the analysis here in the EQNX thread.

Being what I would call a value/CANSLIM'er, I selected EQNX for both its valuation, earnings growth and future earnings growth potential.

EQNX fits both the value and CANSLIM profiles, therefore this val-growth combination was very attractive to me.

Ranier Trinidad expressed concern in an earlier post that EQNX was attracting "momentum players" when he stated the following..

"Also, it is the attention generated by IBD's momentum players that has me concerned, because I have seen what it is like when such traders stampede upon a hint of disappointment."

I respectfully disagree that CANSLIM proponents are "momentum players". Momentum players tend to chase fast-rising stocks, with little to no consideration for earnings growth.

CANSLIMers pay close attention to earnings growth as well as price performance. It is true that earnings disappointments can cause CANSLIMers to jettison their position, but the same could be said for other investment styles. When earnings disappoint, they disappoint all.

CANSLIMers look for the best performing companies, and EQNX falls in that category.
