jbn3

thanks for the summary. I must admit I have been reading this thread and have always enjoyed and learned from you and some of the other thought leaders here.

I do miss some of the more vocal bears. candle what ever his name was. they at least keep you on your toes!

But I would suggest this. If you all would like to excercise some of your most strategic Dell thinking, pop over to the CPQ thread.

I am having a hoot over there talking about all sorts of things. Dell has been referred to over there among other things as

1) a screwdriver shop
2) not in the enterprise business
3) a few other that I can't remember

thanks again for explanation on the deafening silence to my simple Bear challenge

Jason

3...Re:<<(Okay, gang, which ones did I miss?)>>

Hi 3, did you forget these?

- margins are eroding
- ASPs are declining
- BTO and JIT are SO simple and straightforward that everybody will
soon catch on and duplicate; thereby, stealing huge marketshare
- China is having a difficult time maintaining their currency and
therefore, since times are hard, won't buy any thing but bread.
- etc.
- etc. and on and on.

Regards,
Lee

3, ... [six more]
o) WB is selling Dell
p) WB is buying (or is he now selling) silver
q) WB thinks stocks are overvalued
r) WB thinks long term bonds are going down and has dumped his zeroes
s) WB is getting out of stocks and into oil
t) Steve Forbes will be the next President and we'll have a flat tax so capital gains will not have as favorable a differential from ordinary income so market valuations will fall and we all should sell now just to be safe.
