I don't know. If JPM was bought by someone, it's an excuse to change the composition of the Dow and bury the bad debts in the merger. I can see why wall street would want it to happen.
JPM's earnings have been just awful. It would be interesting to have them bought by MER or MWD.
That's the ticket, get one HUGE company that makes all its profits on credit-card debt and stock trading at the helm of the Dow.
I can see it now- morgan-stanley-dean-witter-morgan.
And then they can drop stanley-dean-witter.
