Bally Total Fitness In Mkting, Advertising Pact With ESPN (DJ)

BRISTOL, Conn. -- Bally Total Fitness Holding Corp. (BFIT) will become presenting sponsor of ESPN2's Fitness Block under terms of a one-year advertising and marketing agreement with ESPN.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

In a press release Monday, ESPN said the companies will also produce 25 hours of original programming, including coverage of the U.S. triathlon series championship in October, the fitness America pageant
series, and the world fitness aerobic championship.

Bally operates fitness centers.

ESPN, a sports cable network, is a unit of Walt Disney Co. (DIS).
