Glimmer of hope - Altho' Mike Schaefer recommended getting out of ILP in January, his latest letter has some positive news about the Congo:

"Quite a few political analysts are suggesting that the situation in the DRC has stabilized and will likely get better. One sign comes from Barrick. At the end of Feb, they mobilized 270 tons of equipment headed for their $300 million project there. They currently employ 350 people in DRC."

MS isn't recommending ILP at this time, but this is encouraging news for those of us who haven't jumped ship.

Sorry to hear the bad rap on Fraser. I've read other posts that he's a straight shooter. Seems they all suffer from over-optimism. My current plan is to look closer and longer at all recs, and to read a newsletter for several months before buying into any of them. That gives me time to understand the writer's perspective much better.
