Mr. Binford: Do you mean LCAV or LVCI. They are 2 different companies and BEAM has holdings in LCAV. However, I've never heard of BEAM having holdings in LVCI-I would think VISX has holdings in LVCI since they use mostly VISX's machines and utilize the mobile units. From the research I've done (Paine Webber), BEAM is not about to agree to an easy split up of PPP, although VISX would welcome it. However, it would cost VISX more than $4.5 million for BEAM to agree (I suspect BEAM would agree if the price and/or conditions were right). As far as BEAM not charging for its erodible masks, I do not know the answer-maybe someone else has the answer...Pappy

I think you are asking the wrong guy for this information.
Pappy can better answer your questions.
I sold all of my laser machine manufacturer stock except 20% of BEAM.
I am only buying LVC stocks where the actual procedures are being done. I got tired of the machine fights, so now I only care about the volume of procedures and the profit margins therefrom.
I do have a problem with "Mr. Cheese" who comes from nowhere and thinks we are all bumpkins, and he is the only one with "research".
