jeffrey, I really, really appreciate your run down of that last post: it said what I thought it said but your expanding on it was great. If the author's summary of the state of the state is generally valid, which semi firms would you consider having the stronger position in shrinking feature sizes, and which would you consider having greater vulnerability due to 'over-reliance' on standard feature sizes?
It sounds like we look at these techs in much the same way: I always tell my wife that you can't buy techs on a dip, you have to buy after we call a "tech wreck". Even then you still may be vulnerable of course but at least you can go out of town for a few days! DPMI may well have a set back as you describe--I felt comfortable entering @39 but would use lower prices to average down. It certainly has been ignored recently! Mike Doyle
