Tom:
I agree, but have grown to expect the bullish bias. These guys are not journalists, as you so well pointed out at an earlier date. I view them as nothing other than cheerleaders.

If TK is "differentiating", he'd better be careful. I see the communication producers as in a similar cycle, but one that is just a bit slower in maturing. Take MOT. Lousy warning number one: "we've got problems in our DSP chips and in switching....lost contract for $500.0 million". Lousy warning number two: "earnings will be down 25% ...Asia not buying". Warning from Earlie......MOT betting the farm on Irridium...their multi-billion dollar satellite com. system. It will be up and running in a few months. Only problem is.....NO CONSEQUENTIAL CUSTOMERS....and also tons of competition. Service is beaucoup expensive. I think MOT drowns on this one.

Most of the com players are just starting to own up to the Asian problem.....they too were counting on those big Asian infrastructure plays to carry 1998. They aren't happening.

Best, Earlie
