xDSL is about low Price-adjusted bandwidth

If my memory serves me right, Telecom prices have been coming down and so are PCs and Semiconductors

To be competitive, ISPs will need to provide low Bandwidth adjusted price. xDSL seems to me a low cost way in comparison with T1, Fiber, and Cable as the use existing infrastructure.

does it make sense ?
