email discussion with "thestreet.com":

John Edwards:
Thanks for the reply. I still think that a loss of 0.41 is the correct figure as also reported by Bloomberg and others. The Micron press release [which is available at micron.com ] also lists the 0.18 as a one time gain, due to a sale of assets: "Operating losses incurred in the Company's semiconductor memory and PC systems operations were partially offset in the second quarter of fiscal 1998 by an $0.18 per share<diluted (after tax and minority interests) gain on the sale of 90% of the Company's contract manufacturing subsidiary."

Philip

I give it about 3 - 5 weeks. I don't care what the short interest is Richard. All those folks long don't want to see their money go up in smoke. Give 'em a little while longer to put two and two together.

Richard why so angry?
I happen to agree with the comments and going forward the pros
seem to agree as they keep propping up the stock. Why fight the trend
when the activity seems to indicate the stock will probably go
higher before lower.
Regards Jerry

Richard,

Patience is required here. The funds will not hold MU through another disaster quarter. Sometime between now and then a selloff will occur. Anyway, MU is a nice hedge if you own other semis. I will hold my short and see what the future brings.
