This is really turning into a classic.

Microsoft can't get the next release of NT working (big surprise) and yet Windows can be replaced in a day (apparently not by MS though).

By the time they are done the NT division will have to do a hostile takeover of the Windows2001 department.

Bug can crash IE 4.01 news.com

An oldy but goody kind of story. Not that I think it's a big deal for the browser to crash, but there's this other problem:

Because of the flaw, a Web page designer can exploit the HTML "object" tag to make a user's browser crash and most likely force him to restart the system. The bug has been tested and found on IE 4.01 for Windows 95 and NT 4.0 systems.

It's the restart the system thing that's dubious. With NT even? I hate it when that happens. I guess that's the way it goes when you "integrate" the browser with the OS.

Cheers, Dan.
