They Augered and they R/C'd and neither of these produce a core sample -that is why they call it 'scout' drilling as opposed to 'core' drilling. R/c drilling will give you a good bulk sample- if you use a big enough bit -which is what they are doing at other locations. As far as the speed with which they find things - all of the Ashton pipes aside from the most recent six - appear to be on a ridge in the 'basement'. They are now exploring off of the ridge. Look at the Troymin drift thickness map. All the original pipes are in a line between the two high points in the basement- they have run out of these 'easy' ones now -that is why I think they will be a bit slower on the new pipes PR's in the near future. IMHO JP
