Dear LML: Thank you for your views but the press release seemed to indicate that ML was going to pay the holder the same % gain as the stock. They are assuming all the downside risk as there was no mention of a premium (which seemed to be too good to be true). Nevertheless in the absence of further disclosure it is hard to understand what this thing is and how it makes sense for ML. Perhaps as someone suggested there is a call provision that limits their downside. maybe someone will have gotten the prospectus by the time I finish this and they will be able to shed some light on the deal.
