I think I'm going to lump it, Dwight. I will use my energy wherever I can to make sure that discrimination against homosexuals in employment becomes illegal, and stays that way, unlike in Maine where the voters just decided homosexuals could be discriminated against in hiring. I don't run a business, but in San Francisco EVERYONE works with male and female homosexuals, and their sexual identity is totally irrelevant to their job performance. You know, I have to say I thought Janice's suggestion to Michael that he get to know some gay men would be a good idea in general for people who think homosexuals are sinners, or are in some way very different from them. When there is more common understanding that we are all just people, with individual strengths and weaknesses, and likes and dislikes, perhaps some of these prejudices will start to disappear. I sure hope so! Christine

Dwight, here is a list of people that I am prejudiced and bigoted against. There is no way in hell I would give them a job or a rent. 1. Anyone who listens to "Rap Music". 2. Anyone who can't say a three syllable word. 3. Anyone who wears trousers with the crotch at the knees. 4. Anyone with pierced eyebrows, cheeks, nose, or lips. 5. Anyone with a spike hairdo. 6. Anyone with dreadlocks. 7. Anyone with earrings the size of hula hoops. 8. Anyone who wears sneakers with a suit and tie. 9. Anyone who can't straighten their wrists. 10. Anyone who calls me darling. 11. Anyone who is a drug addict or alcoholic. 12. Anyone who does NOT smoke cigarettes. Jim (Northeast liberal)
