Yaacov: I saw you posting over on the CPQ thread. You are right, they are not going out of business. It is now one of my core holdings. Hope all is well with you.

Regards,

JT

Yaacov. Off topic. I trust my wife and she is German background. gg. You just can't go by all this old stuff. When my wife grew up she knew what was done but none of her family or friends ever thought that way. When it got real bad they helped as much as they could. I don't know why anybody would be afraid now. If you ask me, it almost looks like the Germans were tilting too much towards socialism. Unless you are talking about some of those radicals and we have them everywhere.

Anyhow, my computer is a mess again. I can only post 1 or 2 posts or read a few posts before the screen is freezing up. This is one of the reasons I have been a little slow over the last couple of days answering. I hope I have it fixed pretty soon. Hard drive trouble.

Intel and CPQ is not doing great today. I just bought 1000 shares of WCOM in my IRA and trading account. I sold 300 shares each of Intel for it. When Intel came back and was down only 1, I decided to do the trade. If Intel drops some more, I will sell something and buy it back. I did not want to part with CPQ at this price. I don't care if it goes to 20 and if it does, we all stock up. gg. Merck is doing great and my Amgen I bought the other day.

Yaacov, OFF TOPIC Re: Germans are the only nation in Europe with the size and rsources
to lead, but they are not simply trusted, based on historical facts."

Buongiorno,

I don't know very much about what the politicians in Germany are like, but I have personally had very good success dealing with some German companies. Particularly, a power supply company named Ceag that produced a family of supplies for our product just prior to our main product now, was great to deal with. We worked together with Ceag in joint development, manufacturing, and Ceag helped us solve some tough field problems in the power area later on. Besides that, they took us (my wife included) to some of the best restaurants I've been to in the world. These were in Eberbach and Soest. One day, the wife of the Ceag sales rep for our account, took my wife all around the area of Soest, including lunch at a restaurant overlooking a beautiful lake. That's while I was in engineering meetings with Ceag all day. Soest is a "walled" city, about 30,000 people, with crooked, cobbled streets. Very German, European and quaint.

I also have done business with a person who works for the BZT, which reports to the German post office, and is like our FCC. This man is very intelligent in his area, which is electromagnetic interference, and in computers. So, the German Post Office is getting awfully close to the German government, or, maybe it is part of it.

Speaking of German food, I think it is wonderful. You can't get it very easily in California. When I go to Germany, I know I come back at least five pounds heavier.

Ciao, Paisan

Tony

Yaacov. We have a different soap opera here. But still a soap opera. gg.

Yes, it does look a bit funny in Europe. gg. But at least you make good wages, live good and don't have to work as much as some do here.
And it looks like things will get even better. My motto on my profile is: You only live once, enjoy it.
