Check out the remarkable increase in S. Korea's trade surplus with U.S.A. for last month if you really believe that S. Korea isn't shipping plenty of chips.
Also check out the number of chips that are produced each quarter by ANY decent fab, (of which there are quite a number), compared with the 90.0 to 100.0 million PCs that may be sold this year. Big problem, especially as 64 Mbit comes on stream. (one per PC? @ $13. per chip?)
Question....which fabs close to create the supply shortage? No mega -closures equals continuing glut
