I loaded up on KLAC

As I said, I follow this stock and have waited for
months to fall to this support.

I knew my entrance target and loaded up towards
its bottom price.

Looking for it to gap much higher in the morning
and make a huge run up!

S.W.

Brad,

Check out some of the responses to a recent post I made on the AMAT thread if you want a better understanding of why KLAC is tanking today. Short story: Old news is getting reinforced.

Longer story: Many of KLAC's customers or prospects have reported that they'll miss earnings; that business conditions have slown down and will remain slow for at least another 3 quarters or so; that the Koreans still can't pay for equipment; that Steve Appleton (MU) is doing a fine job lobbying with congress to ensure that IMF money doesn't fund its competitors; that SEA is in a deepening recession; and that stock prices remain overoptimistically high.

Is there some reason why you would expect KLAC's price to rise or even hold its own. IMO, there's no rush to buy any of the chip equipment companies at this moment. By the same token, there probably aren't many sectors whose leaders will rise as much during the next 2-3 years as this one.

FWIW,
Ian.
