<<<Yes, I admit it was a hasty opinion. What do you see that looks
good for Microprose? Possible takeover candidate? If so, by whom?>>

First..the greatest reason MPRS is at the price level it is currently
is ...Delay of Products and failed merger with GTIS...
Profit Last fiscal year, will post a loss this fiscal year ending
March 98...Have about 25 million in cash but 30 million in long term debt..Inventory and qtr to qtr operating costs are under control..
..All New Management team came in the last 1-2 years under the...
CEO Steve Race (previous President of sony playstation of america)
current management took strategy of high quality titles vs. low quality..part of the reason for product delays, but quality equals
longer life in the stores...

Microprose has the best lineup of games in the next year in it's 15 year's in business and with PC prices dropping it can only help sales

some of the very recent events
OEM "ultimate race pro" with creative labs voodoo blaster 8meg version
released retail version of ultimate race pro today.
releasing M1 tank platoon 2 next week..already in duplication..
Some of the major games coming down the pipline in my opinion..
Falcon 4, Ultimate civ2 multiplayer, Mechwarrior 3, mechcommander,
Agents of justice, X-com Interceptor, 2 startrek products using the unreal engine, they have about 15 games coming out this year and all
of them are top quality...two years ago they released eight products
with average volume per title of 246,000 units which equaled
100.3 million and a profit of 8 million the share price at that time hit the high of $10...now they are releasing twice as many titles
of the same quality..

Steve race the CEO in DEC or JAN bought 50,000 shares at 2 dollars
his yearly salary is 296,384 so a $100,000 purchase is significant
Gilman the charman of the board bought about 37,000 shares
and a few other executives bought a couple thousand each

IF you are interested I would read the MPRS board here on SI
as for a buy out..in the last conference call they said NO , they want to bring the company back to the level they were a year ago..
anyway just the five development studios without the the brands are worth more then the current marketcap....
