I just about had it with this company. IMO THEY WILL NEVER GET APPROVAL FOR ANYTHING. I've known this company very well, since the days of the merger around 1987. I am a physical chemist/chem. engineer and I know a key physical chemist... During the golden year when the stock hit 44 (with expectations of $100!!) I must have traded this stock over a hundred times. Overall, from 1987 till today(few days ago I bought at 7 and I sold at 9.5) I have lost around $20,000. All the y know is get some nice funding from major pharm. companies, but two of them (both German) have walked out as soon as they realized what is going one. Rumors are that J&J is heading to the exit too. The question is: are there any more suckers left? So far they have not found anybody for LIQUIVENT after the departure of the Germans. But again how can somebody sponsor a research if the company spents 3 years in formulating an emulsion (1990-93)and then during testing, they find out that they were some remains in the lungs. Of course the stock collapses and they spent 6 more months to investigate what the nature of those remains was. Finally, for those who don't know the result was that these remains were some impurities contained in the surfactant used for the emulsion. Talking about real science here!. You learn in Science 101 that you must do quality control of the raw materials before your synthesis. Also, how can somebody trust their work when they say that the mortality rate of the control qroup for Liquivent was lower.... How was the choice of the control group made? Did they chooce the healthiest people on earth or Liquivent is useless? My key scientist claims that the company will do fine, that they have a good relationship with the FDA etc., however if J&J walks away, this will be a $2 stock, IMO. Then somebody might come and do the same thing with the other loser SMTG and take them over for $5. Just remember 15 years of research and no product!! they are moving fast! I sold all my shares and finally I am free of this bullshit company.
