$7.25 close = good news for VRTY employees.

There are a number of Verity employees who have options priced at $7.25. I would imagine that today's close is encouraging.

Consensus for the quarter, according to Zack's, was -0.24, so they've beaten the numbers by a wide margin -- the 19-cent difference translates to more than $2 million, no small change against $11.2 in revenue. Financially, the company is now pretty close to where it was a year ago. The price then was almost $9 and the company was headed the wrong direction. Now it is headed in the right direction, so...?

If the stock indeed rises beyond today's close, that should be a morale booster for employees. It'll certainly boost mine!

Now the pressure will be to grow sales without a commensurate increase in expenses. This will be a challenging quarter.
