...my Lord knows my heart and knows how much I love everyone... That nicely summarizes what I feel is important. God does not check us off against a list. He is a God of love who has compassion for His creations. I believe that what is important is that we act with love and compassion to the rest of God's creation and strive to become better in God's image. I realize that seems to be a controversial statement on this thread and don't say this to antagonize those who believe in a more literal interpretation. But we are all God's creations and it is a sin for any of to despise what God has created. Thank you for sharing your experience and that they were not sacrficing babies and bowing to satan. Your welcome. I find many aspects of Judiasm beautiful. I have gone on many a shiva call and can't imagine a better way to help a friend cope at such a time. Henry
