Tim, My old college roommate (was valedictorian and) now works for Bellcore. Bellcore was formed to provide R/D service to the original 7 Bell companies. Bellcore is full of very talented researchers, scientists and engineers. They develop technologies primarily for communications that typically may not be in use for many years. They also provide consulting and other services. I don't believe their mission is to manufacture products. I believe their end product is intellectual property. I think there are only seven shares of Bellcore stock, one share held by each of the original seven baby bells. Spyder...
