I've dealt with Siebel on a couple of purchases. In all cases, the sales guy has always been very cognizant of margins. From my own personal dealings, I haven't seen bargains like this in the past. Although these 'bargains' have been tough to obtain, I get the sense that the pressure to bring in Q1 revenue is very intense. I also get the sense that the CFO is focusing on more closely on revenue and not so much on margins.
