Look at the following chart:

investools.com

Chart from Nov 1, 1997 to current date.

Do 5, 10 and 20 moving averages.

When you look at this chart, where do you see heavy support?

True, it has fallen further, but it couldn't do it today.

And just as I expected, there were large block buys today
exactly where I was buying in. hehe

Doug, to be honest with you, what I do rests with an experience earned through a lot of expense. To be able to explain why I bought KLAC today involves literally hundreds of variables that are peculiar to me and that I am prejudiced toward.

For what it's worth, my trading activity can be compared to shooting at a moving target. Honestly, I could be wrong on my buy decision. My time parameter as a trader is likely much shorter than yours. Sometimes I am in a position for 5-10 minutes, and am willing to take a loss of 1/8 to 1/4 point on many shares after being in only that long and forego possible upside (a consequence of discipline).

My methods are likely not ones that you would be interested in, and this would not be a format for such things.

Often I put a disclaimer in my posts: Don't try this at home folks, and that certainly applies here.

Regards,

it
