Paul, It seems to me that AMD/Cyrix have
me-too products. Their only sell-proposition
is price. Yet they have no intrinsic
advantage to build processors at a lower
price.

Didn't Seagate abandon that business model a
few years ago when disk drive companies all
but drove each other out of business?

Hello Paul,

I apologize in advance if this has been talked about a lot on this massive board, but was wondering if AMD ever plans on putting the K6 into servers? Could it happen by year end, or have they passed yet another 'window'?

Also, if you could help the less technical people like me, why has it been so hard for AMD to penetrate into the server market thus far?

thanks
