Ditto to what Honest Abe said about TXN and dram above,
but I also recall reading that the agreement between
TI and Acer to end their joint venture has a longer
time frame to it. In fact I recall reading that TI
would have to continue to take delivery of
DRAMs from the venture for a period of about a year.
I'll have to check the article again -- but anyone
with the facts can jump in.

As for Kurlack, I'm not crazy about him, and true a lot
of others are not. But he has been number 1 to 3 on
institutional investor for around a decade and he does
have a following. I am glad to see him making these
important distinctions between semiconductor companies.
Eventually when inventories tighten up again, TI will
get a Kurlack upgrade. (We might have to wait quite some
time). One thing I can say -- I'd rather buy before the
Kurlack upgrade than after! :-)
