I tried the conference number, but the reservation number isn't working. I've tried to through to IR again but no luck. If anyone has a different res. # please post it.

Maybe it's just not available yet.

I find no fault with management on this release. In fact, it is evidence of excellent management. If it is a little late that is only because the quarter is traditionally back-end-loaded anyway. So with two weeks left they now have a clearer idea of how it's shaping up. I am very pleased with the scope of the information released. We have now been guided about revenue, gross margin, and operating profitability. However, I look for earnings to be pretty minimal, probably <$.10.

Obviously, the big brokerages can do the sort of homework that we cannot (but often come by on threads like this). I am sure it was not difficult to learn from the VARs and the channel about book to bill etc. I am not calling my lawyer yet.

I only wish I had the capital to scoop up shares below $20. I bet the Lucent folks are licking their chops and cursing October. I will be looking at the January calls if we really drop because that is the only way I can afford right now to load up more shares.

As for starting a new thread, well, I had thought I'd exorcised the demons from BAY with this one! I believe our steadfastness to this thread will be indicative of our firm belief in the value of our investment in BAY.

Where is Vepoc? Don't tell me he's napping in Europe.

Dear Lerxst: Just for the record---I agree with you. Plus, I think most of the selling had nothing to do with upcoming news, it was the uncertainty itself. JDN
