Yes, Shalom, it was a serious and meaningful discussion, and I was quite genuine when I invited you to participate. I must say I have even missed you a tiny bit sometimes!!! But then you really hurt my feelings and my reputation when you complained about me showing you, well, basically filth from the world wide web. My reputation is important to me, Shalom, and I did not do that. The entire subject of this web site is religious, and it is a serious discussion: postfun.com Now if you want to click on something on that page and go somewhere else, Shalom, that is just not my problem, and you are responsible for your own clicking behavior, not me. Curiosity killed the cat, Shalom!! As far as homosexuals and AIDS, it is perhaps true that it was brought into the United States by a homosexual, but certainly no one intended to make anyone sick. It is a disease, not a moral failing. And now there is some evidence that it may have been here, but very rare, as early as the 1940's. In the United States about 50% of the cases have been among homosexuals, but those figures seem to be falling, and it is rapidly becoming a disease of the poor--minorities, drug addicts, etc. If you are serious about helping combat AIDS in America, you might want to support needle give-away programs, which have been proven to slow transmission and do NOT encourage people to become drug addicts. On the global stage, AIDS is almost entirely heterosexual, and the filthy conditions of poverty and lack of condoms for protection hasten its spread. I hope you are an advocate for world-wide distribution of condoms, and sex education, because this is one way to slow down the progress of this disease. Because I think that there is some skewing and misinterpretation of statistics by religious/family organizations, I will stick with my boring old government and university statistics on the percentages of homosexual children who commit suicide, and/or are asked to leave their homes. I have looked very hard on the web to find any indication whatsoever that some other kinds of families toss their children out into the street, and could only find references to conservative Christians who do this because of their belief systems. Shalom, you had an opportunity here to express feelings of tolerance for homosexuals, and I did not hear you doing that. If you have a bunch of them working in your business, sitting next to you at church, and camped on your living room floor, my congratulations and appreciation go out to you. Somehow I do not think that is the case, because I heard you sticking to the party line about homosexuals being sinners and carriers of disease, but I also know that you are a big-hearted man who does good works.
