bay area, I think. Houses here are JUST like the stock market...
they're incredibly overpriced, they keep going up, and you're screwed if you didn't buy when you had the chance because it only gets worse with time. From time to time we get real-estate bears (usually tied to unemployment in the tech sector). Lately I'm beginning to feel I'm in Hong Kong.
One of the best values I can find in the market right now are california REITs...you can't have equity values going up this far without real-estate values and rents skyrocketing.
