Re: <<Ashby cannot speak to the powers-that-be>>

I know that you're being just a little sarcastic here. The really sad thing is that the quiet period actually means shit.

Remember a few months back when Steve Jobs gave comfort just a few weeks before earnings were released?

The system is set up to hose the little guy. The only thing going for us is that we can buy and sell at any time without moving the market. That's a luxury the big boys do not have.

Unfortunately, that's our only advantage. Kindof sucks sometimes, doesn't it?

P.S. Gary, my Level II will be out-of-service tomorrow. Would appreciate in advance you keeping us up to date. Thanks.

Gary, where did this "lordship" stuff come from? This thread must be getting truly degenerate!

They would be silent unless they warn. Last time it tanked they promised not to say anything until earnings, then they warned prior to earnings. "Silent" period means they won't do the usual whisper warnings but public pronouncements are fair game.

Greg

How closely do Ascend's business overlap with Cisco's? I thought ASND served more of the ISP clientele and telecommunications firms than Ascend. Please someone with this info help so I can be comforted going into earnings season.
