Mark, as a Christian, I believe this statement by Paul with all my heart and soul.

1 Cor. 15:
"13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.
14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised.
16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.
17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.
19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men."

Seek ye the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
James

Mark,
What sets Christianity apart from all other religions is that the God of Christianity is also the creator of the universe. That same God chose to come to earth in the form of a man, die on a cross to save us from our fallen state and was then raised again from the dead because He has an indestructible life. He now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven having made a way for the redemption of all those who believe. No other religion can or does make that claim. You have said you are a Unitarian, Christianity is the one religion which will exclude itself from the unification of all religions. The reason is that to unify with other religions and doctrines is to have to deny Jesus and His redemption which we cannot do. Bob

<<Quite the contrary, I think Christianity is a beautiful and wonderful religion when practised with the kindness, reverence, and compassion that is my understanding of it. I also think the same of many other religions also.>>

Christianity is a bloody religion. From the time of God slaughtering an animal in the garden because of Adam and Eve's sin to the millions of animal sacrifices under the law of Moses to His Son being cruelly tortured by the hands of those with black hearts. Jesus was marred beyond that of a figure of a man. Why? Because of sin!! God will not allow sin in his presence.

The religions of the world are nothing but foolish inventions of men spawned by devils. When you classify Christianity with the religions of the world you do a grave injustice to God, and it will not be forgotten. I suggest you get right and repent and be washed in the blood of the lamb (Jesus) before it's too late. -Chris
