James, I also find some scriptures troubling and have to answer with more questions. The fella who was found with no wedding clothes at the marriage supper of the Lamb and was escorted out. What is that all about? I have always believed that if you're God's that's it. I also think there are a lot of people deluding themselves about salvation going to church but not saved. Not understanding salvation, even preachers who don't understand salvation. The great falling away in the last days could be these people voting with their feet when they are faced with persecution and death for their testimony of Jesus. Without salvation and the conviction of the Holy Spirit they will not be willing to suffer for Him. In that sense the gate is narrow because it is Jesus only, one way in and no other. To the Jews a stumbling block and to the Gentiles foolishness. Many are called, Jesus has called the whole world. But few are chosen, it is not up to the man who wills or the man who works but to God who has mercy on whom He chooses. Yikes, it's almost midnight, Bob
