Dear Adam - I don't think the CFO has done a disservice. A miscalculation maybe. Allegedly, he has said at the conf that BAY was hoping to have a backend loaded Q a month ago. To me, he was trying to talk down expectations with information on hand at the time. It is interesting to point out that the 1st calendar Q tends be shorter, psychologically as well as workingdaywise.

Anyway, BAY probable expected some sort of a swift reaction then, but the big houses chose to starting the distribution gambit. So, after seeing the water-torture of the past 2 weeks, BAY decided to clear the air.
