Sorry I CAN NOT believe Your answer since I was just personally in CompUsa and saw none of the intel processors you mentioned (The Tillamook for lap tops)! However I will check by calling the other computer stores. I also saw NONE of the intel processors (The Tillamook) you mentioned at office depot, However I did see a Compaq laptop 1621 with the AMD K6 233 in it and it was clearly the high end laptop in that store as well selling at or below equally configured laptops (actually the other laptops had slightly slower cd roms in them and sold for a little more). Also the sales figures speak for themselves, the Compaq K6 233 laptop was by far outselling laptops in it's same class.

You are incorrect, I find only K6 233 laptops at the high end check this out it shows all COMPAQ laptop lines! compaq.com
I also saw a pentium 266 MMX in a compaq but AMD with the K6 is the high end for a better price when it comes to laptops. Check out the compaq 1621 laptop at the above web site!!
Sorry it looks like the Intel Tillamook note book processor is not to be found!!
Best Regards; Joe
