They may not have warned, but in mid 1994 (days after I had bought at
21.375, split adjusted is 7.125) at a conference, the CFO made an offhand comment that the "quarter is not in the bag" (if I remember correctly). Within 10 minutes the stock was at 19.5 and took weeks to recover. I believe Mr. CFO got the riot act read to him by Mr. Morgridge, who, per reports at the time, insists on carefully orchestrated public comments.
