GE management will not rape the land and leave the cooperative destitute. As part of GE getting the rights for 25 years, they had to give the cooperative $300,000 by way of a grant, lend the cooperative $1,000,000 to be paid back through production and most importantly, agreed to give the cooperative 18% of all profits.
