Hutch, I like your plan and I think that market forces will make Japan accept a lot of those concepts. I think that pride is holding them back, and they don't want to accept that they are not infallible. However, they are staring at the abyss and they have run out of time. April 1st is just around the corner, and one of their top banks should announce that it has gone under. This should have already happened, but they came up with the fairy tale manner of declaring their assets. How they can declare that their stock assets are valued at purchase price is ludicrous. I wonder if the average Japanese citizen can take out a loan using collateral of his stock portfolio based on how much he paid for it. Also, he first needs to find a bank that will even grant credit. Does anyone know what their prime lending rate is currently?

I wonder if one of those central banks that bought gold from Belgium is located in the Far East.
