Toby.....thanks !!! I understand what you have posted, and its implications. If the LCiD can displace some LED products, which need daylight readability, and some LCD products which have no color, for instance, then TFS may offset some probable disappointments arising from competition with LTPSi products at the higher end....all a couple or three years out.

There is one significant advantage to partnering, like with National Semiconductor......the R&D money TFS spends is concentrated in the LCD technology, and large (and risky) capital expenditures on silicon technology are avoided (on our end).

Again, thank you for your cogent response. You understand this industry, and you have an unusual ability to communicate your understanding. This thread is an interesting mix of very shrewd stock guys, technical people with some business sense, and a sprinkling of mature investors, all trying to get a grip and make a few bucks in their own way. <G>

I also think you can see this company clearer, if you do not own the stock. With all this said, it is likely time to re-read Bob Cirha's 60-page compendium on the display industry, and note the velocity of change in the year since he wrote it !!!
