Yikes, do you subscribe to Internet World (formely WebWeek)? If you do, look in the issue you got in the mail the other day. It has all kinds of nice things to say about broadband technologies. But since your in the biz, and you said yourself your a internet consultant, you should already know what they say in the article.

As for the pipedream - I never said such technologies don't exist. Obviously they do. But please don't make a big deal out of one county or one city that is connected. This technology has a way to go before it reaches the scale of a simple dial-up connection. And again, don't make it out to sound like cable/xDSL technologies are impervious to downtime, glitches, etc. They aren't.

BTW, I never mentioned anything about AOL's growth metrics. Interesting table you presented though. I'm happy enough with continued, stable growth that AOL has now.

Please also remember that AOL targets the consumer sector, not the business sector that the ZDNet article was talking about. Hey, this all goes back to that broadband topic....
