Re: Small Business Computer Use news.com Businesses like local real estate, insurance, and law enforcement agencies are driving the surge ... ...percentage of small businesses using the Internet has more than doubled in the last year, from 19.7 percent in 1996 to 40.7 percent in 1997... I'm seeing this trend personally in my consulting business. Lots of small companies want to get wired, but they don't have the expertise in house so they contract it.
