[isdn over adsl/ vdsl] Hi MB yes, also think/hope the isdn references may be significant.. in the q3 orctf conference call, Tamir made a point of emphasizing the significance of adsl over isdn... it was one of three three highlights of the quarter that he listed at the time he said that orctf was shipping adsl over isdn modems to a european operator.... and that this had become a key factor in european market... and that telcos were showing big interest because it seems that the first (adsl) customers will be the current isdn customers... and that orctf is the the only co providing this solution...and that it became a key factor in getting orctf into european trials. think the european operator that orctf was shipping modems to was dt... also as you referenced, many signs point to DT as a big customer for orctf vdsl... DT lab tested orctf vdsl late 96.... and DT started field trials with orctf equipment in late summer of 97.... DT has stated that most of their customers are within the reach capabilities of vdsl... 90% within 500 meters of local exchanges... and that they are studying vdsl as "one of the keys to providing broadband access" DT has expressed interest in symetric vdsl transmission... which orctf was able to provide for the field trials (26 mbps each way)... and we now also have the siemens/orctf partnership for vdsl... believe the two were working together for some time before the announcement... cautious optimism for tomorrow... apologize to all... was a day off... was thinking the show started today... here's hoping that stand J05 in Hall 14 (orctf) is connected to dt... tomorrow... or at some point during the exhibition... best wishes s
