Van,

I think you have convinced me to short CPQ. You make a very good case. I think it went up yesterday. So this might be a good day.

AAPL does not run with the pack, but if we have a nice pop today or upon earnings I will close my April call position. If it is a very good pop I will even trade off my leaps but I think they will work out well if I hold them, too. They are year 2000 calls. You do not expect Apple to continue to fall that long, do you? :-)

I watched GEMS rise yesterday and overnight last night, with as much surprise as I did its recent fall. I am glad I am using AIM on GEMS.

VW, do you know whether CPQ's cuts will be even across the board, or will they concentrate on specific price points or segments? The difference could be critical for AAPL, which is, in truth, only currently competing at mid-range price points for specific market segments.
