Firstly, I would like to say that I am not claiming that Aleta 'is in my corner'. I agree with her views. She may or may not agree with mine. I am writing this to declare my current standpoint with NETZ.Do you know, BlackStar, if Pattinson Hayton had an executive team in his prior ventures that was equal to, or surpassed the qualifications of Steve Lair's group? Also, back then, did Hayton have components of organization anywhere similar to what EchoMedia, Softbank and NB Digital bring to the table? I think, given the closeness of Mr. Burgess and Mr. Rose, that you can include Universal Commerce into this picture, as well. Please draw a better comparison of what was then, and what is now. Thank you. Interesting way to question my position. To fully answer your exact question would require me to spend months to get hold of all proof and background. I am not going to do that. Instead I ask you to step back from this local issue of NETZ and look at the market as a whole. I am sure most investors here agree with me if I say that the MMs are a crookish kind. They actively take our money every day and we know and see it all the time. VCs are in general several layers behind the MMs and the companies. And their actions are only felt as repercussions with a time delay. You are confusing the idea behind web ads (as represented by Burgess) with the money that puts them in the lime light. I am sure you have an idea how many companies are selling web ads but are never heard of? There are lots . EchoMedia without Hayton and the SIM that Hayton bought is just one company developing tools for those small web ad agencies. Do not confuse the painting with the wall it hangs on. If the support is removed it falls down. As I don't currently know why Hayton is in Zulu and over what time frame he intends to get his profits back I am not going to blindly trust him to do the right thing for me . All this is assuming he is a best of breed VC. If he decides to 'get creative' all bets are off. IMO this fact will keep the confidence for NETZ at bay. I will also prevent a stable multidollar (>$5) share price unless technical means are employed (reverse splits etc).
