The box glut is a little late to deflate this quarter very much for AAPL. However, next quarter will be impacted. It's hard to sell ones wares in a market where they are being given away. Just ask Netscape's management.

On the positive side, there are new products pending. The performance mantra belongs to AAPL. Component prices are reducing cost of manufacturing for whole industry, reducing negative impact of discounts.

Net/Net = Bill Jackson may be right, though for reasons presented by Van Wang.

Good hunting,
HerbVic

Van,
Hi, I have enjoyed your posts but just wondered what CPQ has got to do with AAPL. Am I missing something?
