My current retail sources,SAF,RBI,ICN say around $200 per gram for phentolamine mesylate. Even at $100 per gram that still ~$4 per pill. I grant that someone who sets up a pharmaceutical grade lab can make it for free, but they still have to go thru the regulatory hoops if they want to make the pills and compete with Zonagen. Good luck in your DD. I'm surprised that someone of your academic stature thinks $5 a gram is cheap. Grant money must be good ;-)
