To all the new posters; I thought you all may like to know a little more about what type of company MINE is. (The intangibles, if you will)
Some time ago (February 98' I believe), El Nino caused a mudslide in a nearby camp and blocked many roads, ect.. One of the first things GE opted to do was to clear local roads with their own dozers and help the local people with the mud problems. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this small token of caring shows a certain commitment to the human element, which should include shareholders. In the long run, the Bolivian government must smile upon such acts, therefore solidifying GE's good-standing with the powers that be. Thoughts?

Brian

P.S.- Since that mudslide, which was reported internationally, GE's volume started to greatly increase. Maybe that is part of the reason why low prices so far, lack of recognition from big players. Once knowledge of GE hits wsj or CNBC, we will know what the entire investing community thinks.
