Sorry about that, it's not cheaper to CPQ in terms of shares, you are correct. The total value of the deal would now be less than when the deal was announced. I think it was around 60 bucks then, in the low 50's now due to the drop in CPQ's share price. Can't see that as a negative (strictly in terms of the takeover) for CPQ, do you?

There's nothing to explain satyr. You're right and I never quite understood the point except to the extent that dec shareholders are getting something that is worth less now than when deal was announced.
